They work with patients to understand their particular needs and challenges, and design meal plans accordingly. They also conduct nutrition education in classrooms and office settings, perform cooking demonstration classes and give out recipes and food ideas.
But not all Dietitians cook or want to cook. The field of Dietetics is much larger than just healthy food. There are clinical Dietitians that work with patients with Diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, bariatric surgery, and much more. Public health Dietitians work to change nutrition and food public policy.
Undernutrition-
Wasting, which can also be defined as an individual with a low weight for their height, often occurs when said individual has recently lost a significant amount of waste. This severe weight loss can be due to a lack of food consumption, or as a result of an infectious disease, such as diarrhea.
